The Alabama SuperTree Nursery is situated about 10 miles east of Selma in Dallas County Alabama on the second terrace above the Alabama River. The nursery is in a prime location surrounded by thousands of acres of forest industry land and many private landowners who believe in prompt reforestation with genetically superior pine seedlings. The nursery has produced over 650 million seedlings since 1974.

In 1999, the nursery received certification from OSHA at the Star level for the Voluntary Protection Program, in recognition of outstanding performance in safety. OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program consists of a very elite group of facilities that strive to make safety their top priority.
