Ana Gabriela Monnerat Carvalho Bassa joined ArborGen in 2010 with extensive experience in research and development at Votorantim Celulose e Papel (VCP), one of the largest pulp and paper companies in Brazil. She was a senior researcher with Fibria, a merger of Aracruz Celulose and VCP. While there she was part of the breeding team, responsible for wood quality for tree breeding as well as wood quality control in the mills. 

Gabriela graduated in Forestry Engineering from Viçosa University with post graduation work in Pulp and Paper Technology at Viçosa University and post graduation work in Breeding at Lavras Univeristy. She has her master’s degree in Forest Resources, Wood Technology from Esalq-USP University.
