Gene Bickerstaff

I have been in the seedling production business for almost 30 years, starting with International Paper in 1996.  I started as Production Coordinator at our Bullard, TX nursery.  In 2015, I was promoted to manager at Bullard and have since served as manager at both our Bluff City, AR and Jasper, TX nurseries.  For the past several years, I have been ArborGen’s Western Nursery Lead.  I am experienced in growing bareroot and containerized pine plus bareroot hardwoods.  Prior to going to work for International Paper, I worked for Stephen F. Austin State University in the Agriculture Department running a regional soil, water, and forage testing laboratory.  I hold B.S. and M.S. degrees in Agronomy from Stephen F. Austin State University.
