Assistant Controller – Ridgeville, SC

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Controller are to assist in the daily management of the general accounting function, including financial reporting and analysis, month-end close, consolidation of domestic and foreign subsidiaries, balance sheet reconciliation, cost accounting and annual audit. This position will play a key role in the annual budget process and will report to the Controller.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Supervise accounting department personnel.
  • Oversee and approve month-end close.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports of US and foreign operations.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Key role in the annual audit.
  • Manage rolling 12-month cash flow model.
  • Cost accounting: Develop and monitor standard costing of our multiple products.
  • Department: Frequent interaction with subordinates in the immediate work group. Frequent interaction with Corporate Controller and VP-Finance & Accounting.
  • Company: Regular interaction with all internal department supervisors and management including operations.
  • Outside Company: Will interact with vendors, customers and auditors.

 

 

 

    • BS in accounting or finance and CPA designation
    • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
    • Strong computer skills with Excel essentials (pivot tables, vlookups).
    • Strong communication skills a must. Asst. Controller will be involved in variance analysis that requires working with multiple locations and levels of management.
    • Experience with a medium to large company ERP, SAP B1 strongly preferred.

     

     

     

    This is an exempt position.  Seasonal overtime required.  Minimal overnight travel.

    IT Systems Administrator – Ridgeville, SC

    The Systems Administrator is an experienced Information Technology systems analyst that supports enterprise IT system infrastructure. The System Administrator is responsible for planning, implementing, installing, configuring, supporting, developing, and maintaining enterprise information systems. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, peripherals, connectivity, and policy issues. It also includes the research, testing, documentation, and evaluation of new products. This individual will build and maintain relationships and services with both internal, external and vendor partners to ensure processes are in place to ensure effective infrastructure service delivery.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    • Support, troubleshoot and maintain computer systems, network devices and storage devices by monitoring systems performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
    • Install and configure servers, network devices, firewalls, and storage devices.
    • Administer and support core Microsoft 365, Meraki, Linux, NAS, and VMware/ESX/ technologies.
    • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
    • Provide training and documentation on existing and new technologies.
    • Take responsibility for projects and solutions as required by strategic initiatives.
    • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administrative tasks.
    • Assist in the architecture/engineering process for new infrastructure related technology solutions ensuring they are compatible with the company’s business needs and strategic objectives.
    • Responsible for responding to “help desk” calls for malfunctioning equipment quickly and meeting other needs as required by departments.
    • Work closely with other infrastructure teams and IT hardware service provider vendors.
    • Responsible for Ordering, organizing, and maintaining Mobile devices and supporting employees in their usage of them.
    • Installs, maintains, and upgrades all LAN and local printers.
    • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.

      • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 6 years of experience in computer networking/Desktop Support, Microsoft 365.
      • SAP B1, PowerBI, Sales Force, Access or other BI system experiences are all very strong pluses and will be preferred hires.
      • Team oriented, yet able to work independently; very self-motivated.
      • Outstanding work ethic; displays a high sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
      • Be available for rotation assignment for on-call support duties.
      • Occasional daily and overnight travel will also be necessary.
